Once a year, in the month of January, a sister church in the Madrid area organizes a Ladies meeting. We took 13 ladies from our church plus yours truly. My ladies always love to be together and just get away and do something special without kids, husbands, dishes, meal planning and problems to think about.
There were 100 ladies at the meeting today, and once again, it blessed my heart. A dear friend, Mari Mar, who is the pastor´s wife at the church where my daughter Sandy is serving her internship, was the speaker. God used her to cut up Psalm 119 in small pieces in such an unbelievable way. As she explained each stanza, the meaning, the key verses and the way the author carried his theme of "the excellency of God´s word", it was like God was shedding His light on His word to help us understand and to bless our hearts.
Although all I did was drive a car full of ladies and sit most of the day (and feed my face a couple of times), I´m tired physically, but my heart it full. Encouraged as I watched my ladies drinking "beside the still waters" and looking forward to hearing their testimonies tomorrow. We have a great treasure - His Word in our hearts and in our hands. May we never pick it up or read it lightly for it is HIS WORD.
